Waldport, Oregon

Waldport, Oregon, is a coastal city of 2200 inhabitants in southern Lincoln County, where OR 34 meets US101 near milepost 156.  It lies near the mouth of the Alsea River, with long beaches stretching away to the north toward Newport and to the south toward Yachats.  Waldport offers options for food and lodgings, and coastal and dune scenery.

To the north across the Alsea Bay is Bayshore, a largely residential neighborhood or unincorporated community with many vacation rentals, built on sand dunes and a sand spit.
