Florence, Oregon

Florence, Oregon, is Lane County's major coastal town, where OR 126 meets US101 near milepost 190.  It lies near the mouth of the Siuslaw River, just north of the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area.  There are options for food and lodgings, and coastal and dune scenery.

To the north are the last of the dunes, and then fifteen miles of rockier, wilder coast, mostly without cell phone service, between Heceta Head and Cape Perpetua.  To the south are 40 miles of the unique environment of the Oregon Dunes.
